Solutions

1. Global asset libary

Addresses the user issue of "too much repetitive work" by allowing users to reuse their copy. This library also contains primitive customizable blocks/layouts that can help speed up the design process.

2. A powerful WYSIWYG tool

Adds more no-code capabilities. One critical feature is the freedom to control the entire canvas. It also includes the ability to build tables that users can place assets (avatars/buttons) into.

3. Courier email templates

A library of Courier built designs templates including reusable primitive blocks/layouts. By providing these libraries, we can address the issue of "possibilities being unclear".

Former limitations

"I can see you have that copy"! a user said with frustration. The irony is that is the one place they didn't need it. For every new email, they had to copy an old one.

Easy access

A global asset library includes text, code blocks, images, buttons and primitives. It is accessable within all templates accross all the channels.

2. A more powerful WYSIWYG tool

Former Limitations

A forced margin around the outer edge of the canvas that users could not override without code.

More Power

Redesign allows users full control of the background canvas using the WYSIWYG alone. Images and colors can be brought to the canvas edge.

3. Courier email templates

Plug and Play

One solution we (my manager and I) are developing to solve confusion over what is possible to build in the WYSIWYG tool is to provide templates that cover the majority of our customers design needs.

Perusing through the template library, users can more easily visualize what they can build and they can also get started much faster.
